— This week at Medforge

Hello friends and neighbors,

October is a big month for Medforge! We have two upcoming events we’re really excited about. As we work to build a space for community, art, learning, and exploration in Medford, supporting our events is a great way to help (and have fun doing it).

— This Saturday

Intro to Household Tools

Ever look at a simple home project and not know where to start? This hands-on class is for you. Learn what belongs in every starter toolbox and gain confidence using common household tools as you assemble and mount a small shelf. Along the way, your instructor, Harry Germano, a local contractor specializing in older homes, will share the kind of practical tips and tricks that come from years of real-world experience.

In 2 hours, you'll learn how to:

• Select the right drill bit, screws, and wall anchors
• Drive screws without stripping them
• Find studs and hang heavy things safely
• Steer clear of the pipes and wiring in your walls

No experience or tools required. All materials provided.

— Saturday, Oct 31

Welcome to Deadford, a Halloween Ball

On Halloween night, Arts Collaborative Medford will be possessed by the spirits of Deadford Manor for Medforge's first annual Halloween Ball. Expect food, drink, music, and lavishly overcomplicated costumes (simple ones welcome too!). You’ll have such a good time, you may never leave...

Included in the ticket price

• Free food and two drink tickets (drinks by Medford Brewing Company)
• Tunes by Legendary DJ Cruz
• Games and activities
• A $10 Lyft credit for a safe ride home

— Find us in the community

We’ll be tabling at the Harvest Your Energy Festival, and the Medford Halloween Craft & Fun Fair. Come by say “Hi!”
